Tonk : A ten day self defense camp is being organized at Mahatma Gandhi Government School, Taran. Boys and girls from class 6th to 8th are participating in it.
The girl students are being trained by Daksh Training Line, Rekha Kothari. In the camp running from 14th November, girl students are being taught methods of self-defense. Its objective is to make girls physically and mentally self-reliant through training. So that girls can face difficult situations without getting distracted. He told that in the first session, awareness was given about physical exercises and in the second session, awareness was given about removing social evils. Along with this, the girl students were inspired to adopt health and hygiene by giving them information about punch, hand movement, good touch, bed touch and dignity box etc.
He said that information about gender, prevention of child marriage and child helpline number is also being given in the camp. Kothari said that ever since the government has started this training, confidence and enthusiasm is being seen among the girls at the school level.
