Tonk : The arrangements of Shri Kalyan Ji Maharaj of Diggi, a religious city which is one of the largest temples of the country, are derailed. The generator has been locked in the room for two months due to the Temple Trust President (Malpura SDM) not releasing the budget for filling diesel in the generator. Due to this, after power failure in the evening, especially at the time of Aarti, most of the temple and the five km road light area remains in darkness. Due to this, devotees have to circumambulate in the dark. One has to come to the temple only in the dark. Even on Friday night, at the time of Aarti, the electricity went off at around 7.30 pm. In such a situation, the worship of God in the temple was done in the light of the bulb burning from the inverter, but due to darkness in the parikrama place etc. of the temple which was dependent on the generator, people had to do the parikrama in the dark. Even the food is not served on time
Due to lack of light, the water motor does not run, due to which there is a delay in preparing the food offered to the Lord in the temple. Due to this, many times neither the offering nor the Aarti is possible on time. This is the situation when offerings worth about two crore rupees come to this temple every year. Malpura SDM Amit Chaudhary, President of the Temple Trust, said that arrangements for diesel had been made three days ago. The priest of the temple said that there was no diesel in the generator last night, so the devotees performed parikrama in the dark.
Priest Dayashankar Sharma said that in case of power failure for the last two months, there is a big 65 kilowatt generator to switch on the bulbs and other equipment installed in the temple and surrounding areas. It has been closed for two months due to lack of diesel. Due to the generator being switched off, the boring machine and other equipment installed in the temple premises are not working. Water for cooking in Shri Ji Maharaj’s kitchen is taken at less cost than boring. Boring does not work when there is power failure. Due to this, the priest often gets delayed in offering the food to Shri Ji Maharaj. Priest Dayashankar Sharma told that 2 days ago on the day of Ekadashi, Bhog was offered to Shri Ji Maharaj at 2:30 pm, whereas the time of offering Bhog is 2 pm. This problem is daily. Trust President Malpura SDM Amit Chaudhary was informed about this problem several times, but no arrangement was made to fill diesel in the generator. Due to this, the devotees including the temple priest are facing problems. CCTV cameras installed in the temple premises also become useless due to lack of power supply. The security of the temple can be at risk at any time due to non-functioning of CCTV cameras.
