Tonk : Agriculture Minister Kirori Lal Meena met 53 accused including independent candidate Naresh Meena lodged in Tonk jail in the slap controversy at 2 pm on Wednesday. Kirori Lal said that the officer should not have been assaulted during voting at the polling station in Samravata village for the by-election in Deoli-Uniara assembly constituency. The action taken by the police at night was also wrong. There was a pond nearby. There could have been huge loss of life. The government is serious about this matter. Innocent people will get justice.

After this, Kirori reached Samravata village along with Minister of State for Home Jawahar Singh Bedham at 4 pm. There he had to face the anger of the villagers. A villager said that criminals are roaming around and innocents are in jail. Give us justice, otherwise we will sacrifice our lives against the government. On hearing this, Kirori came out of the crowd and left for Jaipur. Kirori said- Not only Samravata, 28 villages will be included in Uniara.
While talking to the media, Kirori said- I have spoken to the jailed independent candidate Naresh Meena and other prisoners. He has complained of being beaten by the boys while in police custody. I will meet the Chief Minister in this regard. It has come to light that people arrested suffered injuries due to fighting in police custody. Complaint about this will be made to the Chief Minister.
