Tonk : Tonk Mahotsav concluded on Thursday at Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad Arabic-Persian Research Institute with the gathering of all religions and honoring of eminent personalities. It may be noted that this year, due to the code of conduct, Tonk Mahotsav was celebrated in this month instead of November. Its programs were organized from 8 to 12 December. Whereas before this, Tonk Mahotsav was celebrated from 15th November to commemorate the establishment of the princely state. On the occasion of closing ceremony, a Sarvadharma Sabha was organized on Thursday. In this, the lesson of respect for all religions was taught. At the same time, people of all religions propounded the concept of one God and emphasized on living together in unity and brotherhood. On this occasion, Advocate Shailendra Sharma said that being a Hindu or a Muslim is not a big deal, the big thing is how firm a person remains on his faith and religion.
Sukhlal Arya defined religion as patience and tolerance. Mufti Adil Nadvi, Mufti Islahuddin Khizar presented views promoting unity and brotherhood. Balram Sharma, Hanuman Singh Solanki etc. also expressed their views on this occasion. Everyone in the Synod emphasized that we should respect other religions as much as we respect our own religion. This has been our culture for years.
