Tonk : A 3-day sub-national Pulse Polio campaign started from Sunday to keep children free from polio disease. District Chief Saroj Bansal and BJP District President Ajit Singh Mehta started the campaign by administering medicines at the Maternal and Child Health Center. On this occasion, Sunil Jain, Guddu Khatik, Dr. Vinod Parwariya, Medical Officer Incharge Maternal Child Health Center, Deputy Controller Dr. Chetan Jain, Deputy Controller, DRCHO Dr. Gopal Jangid, DTO Dr. Himanshu Mittal, Trilok Verma Nirmal Mahawar, Devendra Meena, Nisha, Rekha, Triloki Meena and doctors and nursing workers of Maternal and Child Health Center were present.
Earlier, District Chief Saroj Bansal said that to strengthen the protective shield of children against polio, children aged 0 to 5 years must be given polio supplements. CMHO Dr Ashok Kumar Yadav said that a total of 1267 booths were set up in the district under the Sub-National Pulse Polio Day. Apart from this, number of house to house teams will be 1687, number of transit team will be 46, number of mobile team will be 10, number of supervisor team will be 191, total target will be 2 lakh 671 and total main power will be used 3585.
CMHO Dr. Ashok Kumar Yadav said that this program will be organized from December 8 to December 10. In which medicine was administered at the booth on 8th December. Whereas on 9th and 10th December, children will be given polio medicines by going door to door. Under the campaign, the target is to administer polio vaccine to a total of 2 lakh 671 children.
