Jaipur : The heavy rains that started in Rajasthan from the first day of August are not stopping yet. The Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain alert in many districts today. Meanwhile, schools have been declared closed on Saturday in 5 districts of the state. Let us tell you that earlier on Friday, all government and private schools in Bikaner and Jaipur were closed amid heavy rain alert. According to the Jaipur Meteorological Center, a low pressure area has formed over Jharkhand. There is a strong possibility of it becoming more intense in the next 48 hours and moving towards Rajasthan through Madhya Pradesh. Due to the effect of low pressure, there is a strong possibility of increase in heavy rain activities in some parts of south-eastern Rajasthan from today. Talking about the last 24 hours, heavy rains occurred in Bikaner, Barmer, Nagaur, Pali, Jodhpur, Jalore districts. The highest rainfall of 195 mm was recorded in Kolayat of Bikaner.
Schools closed in these districts
Due to the possibility of heavy rain, holiday has been declared today in the schools of Bhilwara, Tonk, Jaisalmer, Bikaner and Kekri districts.
-Jaisalmer Collector Pratap Singh Nathawat has declared a holiday for children from class 1 to 12 in all the schools of the district today. In view of the warning of heavy rain in Bhilwara district, as per the instructions of the District Collector, all government and non-government schools have been closed.

-The district administration is alert regarding the heavy rain alert in Kekri district. District Collector Shweta Chauhan has issued an order declaring Saturday a holiday in all government and non-government schools from class 1 to 12 in Kekri district.

-In Bhilwara, Collector Namit Mehta has declared holiday in schools from class 1 to class 12 on Saturday. After the warning issued by the Meteorological Department, the administration has come into alert mode. The Collector and SP visited the city on Friday evening and inspected the areas prone to waterlogging.
Rain alert in these districts today
The Meteorological Department has issued an orange and yellow alert for heavy rain in 10 districts of the state today. An orange alert for very heavy rain has been issued in Baran, Jhalawar and Kota on Saturday. At the same time, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Banswara, Bhilwara, Bundi, Chittorgarh, Dungarpur, Pratapgarh and Sawai Madhopur.
The rainy season will continue on 4-5 August as well
According to the weather department, there is a strong possibility of rain in the south-eastern and western parts of the state on August 4-5 due to the effect of low pressure. There is a strong possibility of heavy to very heavy rain at some places and extremely heavy rain (more than 200 mm) at one or two places in Kota, Udaipur division on August 4. During this period, there is a strong possibility of heavy rain at some places and very heavy rain at some places in some parts of Jaipur, Ajmer, Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions from August 4 to 6.
