One day weekly holiday declared
According to the information received from the Forest Department in this regard, about a year ago, the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) had declared a one-day weekly holiday in all tiger reserves across the country. After this, the Forest Department first decided to keep tourism activities closed on Wednesday in Ranthambore located in Sawai Madhopur and declared a weekly holiday. But after the Forest Department opposed this decision, it was amended and then orders were issued for weekly holiday on Tuesday in Ranthambore Zone 1 to 5 and on Wednesday in Ranthambore Zone 6 to 10. Now the Forest Department has once again changed these orders.
This zone remains closed during the monsoon season from July to September
According to the new orders, Ranthambore’s main zones 1 to 5 will have a weekly holiday on Wednesday and outer zones 6 to 10 will have a weekly holiday on Tuesday. During this time, tourism activities will remain completely closed. Actually, during the monsoon season from July to September, tourism activities remain closed in the main zones 1 to 5 here as before. According to the Forest Department, earlier zones number 1 to 5 in Ranthambore used to remain closed on Tuesday, while Ranthambore Fort and Trinetra Ganesh Temple are located in this main zone, which is the center of faith of the people. Hundreds of devotees visit the Trinetra Ganesh Temple every Wednesday. In such a situation, there is a traffic jam on the Trinetra Ganesh Temple road, in such a situation, tourists coming to this zone often get stuck in the jam. In such a situation, now the Forest Department has issued a new order and declared a weekly holiday on Wednesday in Ranthambore’s zones number 1 to 5 and on Tuesday in zones number 6 to 10.
Tourism activities will remain closed from 6 to 10
In this regard, Ranthambore’s Deputy Forest Conservator (Tourism) Pramod Dhakad says that changes have been made regarding weekly holidays in Ranthambore. Under the new orders, tourism activities will remain closed in zones 1 to 5 on Wednesday and in zones 6 to 10 on Tuesday. This revised order has been issued by the Forest Department in view of the crowd of devotees visiting the Trinetra Ganesh Temple on Wednesday.
