Tragedy on Udaipur-Ahmedabad Highway: Two Surat Brothers Killed in Trailer Collision

Udaipur : A devastating accident on the Udaipur-Ahmedabad National Highway on Tuesday claimed the lives of two brothers from Surat, Gujarat. The incident occurred near the old police station in the Parsad police station area of Salumbar district.

Fatal Collision:

An out-of-control trailer truck swerved into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a car carrying the two brothers. The impact of the collision was severe, causing extensive damage to the car. One of the brothers sustained critical injuries and became trapped inside the wreckage. Emergency responders were able to extract him with difficulty.

Victims Identified:

The deceased have been identified as Mayur Jain (35) and Tejas Jain (33), sons of Fathelal Jain, residents of Surat.

Investigation Underway:

Parsad police station in-charge Umesh Sanadhya confirmed that the brothers were textile merchants visiting their in-laws in Udaipur. They were returning to Surat after a two-day visit when the tragic accident unfolded. The police have seized the trailer and are searching for the driver who fled the scene.

Aftermath:

The bodies of the deceased brothers were transported to MB Hospital for post-mortem examination before being handed over to their family members. Relatives residing in Udaipur also reached the mortuary upon receiving the news.
