Bundi : In Keshavrayapatan area of Bundi district, an uncontrolled tractor trolley crushed two bike riders. In this accident, both the bike riders died on the spot. The incident took place on the road from Ladpur to Suvasa. The deceased have been identified as 23-year-old Dev Prakash Meena, a resident of Mehrana village and Suresh Mali, a resident of Nanta area of Kota. After the incident, anger spread among the people of the area, people were present in large numbers outside the mortuary and sat on a dharna.
Angry villagers staged a sit-in protest in the hospital
People have demanded action against the tractor trolley and financial compensation to the victim’s family. Police officials who reached the spot explained to the protesters, after which the post-mortem of both the bodies was done and the bodies were handed over to the family members. Police has started investigating the case. It is being told that tractor trolleys pass by at high speed in this area every day and this tractor group was also passing at high speed in which the bike riders were crushed. Assistant Sub-Inspector Girdhari Lal of Keshavrayapatan police station said that he had reached the spot on the information of the villagers. The tractor trolley was standing at the spot and the completely shattered bike was lying there. With the help of the people, the bike riders were taken to Kota Hospital, where both were declared dead by the doctors.
The tractor-trolley was full of bricks
Eyewitnesses said that a tractor-trolley loaded with bricks hit the bike. The tractor driver is also Deshraj, a resident of Ladpur, who fled from the spot after the accident. Police is searching for him. Police has registered a case against the tractor driver and started investigation. It is being told that the deceased Dev Prakash works in a water park located on Bundi Road. He had reached his maternal uncle’s house in Ladpur after duty and was going to his village Mehrana from there. During this time he became a victim of the accident. Family members said that the deceased Dev Prakash was the only breadwinner in the family. His parents are often ill and the family is in a miserable condition.
