Triangular contest on 4 seats and direct contest on 3 seats in Rajasthan, know who is in the electoral fray

Jaipur : After all the parties have declared candidates in the by-elections being held on seven assembly seats of Rajasthan, there seems to be a triangular contest on four seats and a direct contest on three seats. However today is the last date for nomination. In such a situation, it will take time to get the complete picture clear, but the contest seems to be triangular on four seats – Salumber, Khinvsar, Chaurasi and Jhunjhunu. In Salumber and Chaurasi, BAP will contest and in Khinvsar, RLP candidates will contest against BJP and Congress candidates. Former minister Rajendra Gudha has filed nomination as an independent from Jhunjhunu seat. Both BJP and Congress parties do not want any triangular contest on the remaining three seats, hence all efforts are going on internally to stop the rebellion. BJP has also achieved success to a great extent in stopping the rebellion. Senior leaders of the party attended the nomination meetings of Congress-BJP candidates on Thursday. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma held meetings in four assembly constituencies. At the same time, some big Congress leaders including Leader of Opposition Tikaram Julie were present during the nomination of the party candidate in Ramgarh.

Two women candidates each on two seats
In Salumber, BJP has nominated Shanta Devi Meena and Congress has nominated Reshma Meena, while in Khinvsar, Congress has nominated Ratan Choudhary and RLP has nominated Kanika Beniwal. Kanika Beniwal is the wife of Nagaur MP Hanuman Beniwal.

Triangular contest on these seats

Salumber: BJP has made Shanta Devi Meena its candidate from Salumber assembly seat. Whereas, Congress has given ticket to Reshma Meena. Whereas BAP has bet on Jitesh Katara. In such a situation, there will be a triangular contest on this seat.

Chaurasi: BJP has made Karilal Nanoma its candidate for Chaurasi Assembly seat while Congress has placed its bet on Mahesh Rot. BAP has fielded Anil Katara in the election contest. BAP has dominance on eighty-four seats. At the same time, BJP and Congress will try to defeat BAP at any cost. In such a situation, it remains to be seen who wins in this triangular conflict.

Jhunjhunu: BJP has given ticket to Rajendra Bhambu and Congress has given ticket to Amit Ola on Jhunjhunu assembly seat. At the same time, independent candidate Rajendra Gudha has also won from this seat in the by-election. In such a situation, a triangular conflict is visible on this seat also.

Khinvsar: BJP has given ticket to Revantram Danga from Khinvsar assembly seat. Whereas, Congress has fielded Ratan Chaudhary. Interestingly, RLP played a big gamble on this seat by giving ticket to Hanuman Beniwal’s wife Kanika Beniwal. This time there is going to be a contest on this seat without any alliance. In such a situation, this contest is no less than a litmus test for Hanuman Beniwal.

Direct contest between BJP and Congress on these seats

Ramgarh: This seat will see a direct contest between BJP and Congress. From here, BJP has fielded Sukhwant Singh and Congress has fielded Aryan Zuber Khan, younger son of late MLA Zuber Khan, in the election battle.

Dausa: BJP has given ticket to Jagmohan Meena, brother of Kirori Lal Meena, on Dausa assembly seat. At the same time, Congress has placed its bet on Deen Dayal Bairwa. One of the hot seats of Rajasthan, the prestige of Sachin Pilot and Kirori Lal Meena is at stake.

Deoli-Uniara: On this seat, BJP has given ticket to Rajendra Gurjar and Congress has given ticket to Kastur Chand Meena. In such a situation, a contest between Gurjar and Meena will be seen here. However, rebelling against the Congress, Naresh Meena has announced to contest the elections as an independent candidate from here. In such a situation, now it remains to be seen whether Congress will be successful in convincing Naresh or not?
