Jaipur : Jaipur-Bisalpur dam, which is called the lifeline of Ajmer and Ajmer, will now overflow soon. The Triveni river, which fills the Bisalpur dam, is in spate on Wednesday. The gauge of Triveni river on Kota road in Bhilwara district is running at 3:30 meters in the morning. Due to monsoon being active in the state, monsoon activities have increased in Bhilwara, Chittorgarh and Rajsamand districts falling in the catchment area. Due to which the gauge of the dam was recorded at 314.82 RL meter till 6 am on Wednesday.
The ghats of the temple situated on the banks of the Triveni river have also been submerged in water. For the second time in this season, the gauge of the Triveni river has reached 3.50 meters. The water level of the Kothari dam is also 10 centimeters. The weather department has predicted heavy rains in Banswara, Bhilwara, Bundi, Chittorgarh, Dungarpur, Jhalawar, Kota, Pratapgarh, Rajsamand, Sirohi, Udaipur, Jalore and Pali today. Due to which it is being estimated that the inflow of water in the dam will continue. According to the information, the gauge of the Bisalpur dam has touched 314.82 RL meter by 6 am on Wednesday. Now the dam is left with only 0.23 RL meter.
Water inflow from rivers continues
The weather department has issued a yellow alert for rain in many districts of Rajasthan till September 7. Now people’s eyes are fixed on the overflowing of the dam. By 6 am on Wednesday, the gauge has increased to 314.82 RL meter. Now only 4.75 TMC water is required for the dam to overflow. Let us tell you that the water storage capacity of Bisalpur dam is 315.50 RL meter. Whereas the daily supply from the dam is about 1050 MLD.
