According to the Meteorological Department, till 6 am on Thursday, a total of 133 mm of record-breaking rain fell in Jaipur. Due to this rain, many houses were flooded. Roads caved in. Many vehicles sank into the ground while standing. A young man and two girls died when the basement of a house was completely submerged in water. At the same time, a child was swept away in the drain in no time. His body was recovered later.

Alert also in Jaipur, Ajmer, Jodhpur and Bikaner

According to the Meteorological Department, a low pressure area has formed over Jharkhand on Friday. Apart from intensifying further in the next 48 hours, there is a strong possibility of it moving towards Rajasthan through Madhya Pradesh. Due to its effect, heavy rain activities will increase in some parts of south-eastern Rajasthan from August 3. The maximum effect of this system will be in the south-eastern and western parts of the state on August 4-5. Between August 4 and 6, there is a strong possibility of heavy and very heavy rains in some parts of Jaipur, Ajmer, Jodhpur, and Bikaner divisions.

Rain alert in these districts on Friday

According to the Meteorological Department, a rain system is active over western Rajasthan on Friday. Due to its effect, moderate to heavy rains are expected in Nagaur, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Barmer, Pali, Jalore and Jaisalmer as well as nearby districts, and heavy rains are expected at some places. According to the latest update of the Meteorological Department, there is a strong possibility of heavy and very heavy rains at some places in many districts of Ajmer, Bikaner and Jodhpur divisions in the next 24 hours.
