Two accused of Dausa rape abscond from police custody

Dausa : Two accused arrested in rape case escaped from police custody at Lalsot police station at around 11:30 pm on Friday night. After opening the handcuffs to give him water, he pushed the policeman and ran away. After the incident, the police started searching for the accused, but could not find any clue of them.

Lalsot CI Ramniwas Meena said that a minor girl from a village in Lalsot police station area was kidnapped on November 11. It is alleged that two-three youths kidnapped and raped her. The victim’s family members had lodged a complaint in the police station in this regard.

The police registered a case under relevant sections of POCSO and rape and handed over the investigation to the DSP. During the investigation, on the basis of information from cyber cell and informer, the police detained the accused Manish Meena and Akshay Meena from Jaipur. Both were kept in Lalsot police station for questioning.

On Friday night, constable Ajit Singh, on duty, while going to give water to the accused, pushed the sentry and both of them escaped. After the incident, the police started searching for the accused, but could not find any clue of them.

In connection with this incident, Sub-Inspector Vijay Raj Meena has registered a case against both the accused for escaping from police custody. Different teams of Lalsot police station are busy searching for the accused.
