Two accused of gang rape of Nagaur minor sentenced

Nagaur : Today the Special POCSO Court No. 1 of Merta has given an important verdict in the nearly 5 and a half year old case of gangrape of a 15 year old minor. In this case of Gachhipura police station area of ​​Nagaur district, the POCSO court has sentenced two accused to 20-20 years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 60,000 each.

Jagdish Singh Rathore, Special Public Prosecutor of Merta’s Special POCSO Court No. 1, said that Judge Alka Sharma of POCSO Court No. 1 has given this decision while hearing the case. The court has sentenced Tikuram alias Ajay, resident of Bagarwalia village of Khunkhuna police station area, and Richpal, resident of Binjari village, accused of raping a 15-year-old minor, to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 60,000 each. During the hearing of this case in April 2019, 21 witnesses appeared on behalf of the victim’s side. 29 documents were also presented before the court.
