Two cattle smugglers arrested in Dholpur police blockade, two trucks seized

Dholpur : Kotwali police station of Dholpur has seized two trucks full of animals. Police freed 46 animals from both the trucks. Who were being taken to Katti Ghar in Uttar Pradesh. Police have also arrested two animal smugglers from the spot. A case has also been registered against them under the Cruelty to Animals Act. Kotwali police station in-charge Pramendra Rawat said that information was received about illegal mining and animal smuggling from Madhya Pradesh towards Agra. On information, different police teams along with ASI Girwar Singh and Head Constable Badan Singh of the police station blocked Agra-Mumbai National Highway No. 44. Meanwhile, when the police stopped and checked the trucks mentioned by the informer, they found 46 animals crammed into both the trucks.

The police arrested the accused Chanda (25), son of Alfaz Khan, resident of Morena, Madhya Pradesh, along with Maqsood Khan (35), son of Salim Khan, resident of Madina Colony, Dholpur, who were present in the truck. Both the accused were loading animals in trucks and taking them to Uttar Pradesh. Against whom a case has been registered under the Cruelty to Animals Act. Kotwal said that the police are interrogating the arrested accused regarding the animal smuggling network. Immediate action will also be taken against people involved in the business of animal smuggling.
