Kota : A major accident occurred on Tuesday while trying to save a cow on the culvert of Jhalawar Road Over Bridge situated on National Highway 27 near the city. When a bus driver applied brakes to save a cow sitting on the road, a speeding bus coming from behind hit him. Due to this, two people including the bus conductor died on the spot and a dozen people were injured.

Out of these, 8 injured were admitted to the district hospital. After the incident, there was a lot of commotion on the spot. Passersby helped to take out some injured and informed the police. One dead body was taken out by lifting the bus with the help of a crane.
In the accident, a cow sitting on the road also died on the spot. On receiving the information, the Kotwali police reached the spot and took the dead body and the injured to the district hospital. On receiving the information, District Collector Rohitashv Singh Tomar and Superintendent of Police Rajkumar Chaudhary, Kotwali in-charge Rambilas Meena etc. reached the spot. The police have registered a case and started investigation.

Both the buses were moving at a high speed on the culvert of Kota Road four lane highway near the district jail and Aamapura village. Probably the bus behind was trying to overtake. Meanwhile, to save a cow sitting on the culvert, the driver of the bus in front slowed down the bus by applying brakes and came to the other lane. The bus behind it hit it hard while overtaking. The bus ahead of it going from Chhabra to Kota via Baran collided with the divider and overturned. Bus conductor Naresh Bairwa (35), resident of Ghad police station area of ​​Tonk district and passenger Mukesh Prajapat (34), resident of Chhajawa police station Atru, died and a dozen passengers were injured.
