Patna, November 28 (IANS). Two tourist destinations of Bihar will be developed on a global level. The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India has approved the global development plan of two tourism centers under special assistance to Bihar for 2024-25. Bihar Tourism Department Minister Nitish Mishra said that the Central Government has approved the special plan proposal of the State Government.
He said that under this, Matsyagandha Lake of Saharsa will be developed at global level with a cost of Rs 97.61 crore. At the same time, Karamchat Dam located on the border of Rohtas-Kaimur will be developed as a hub of eco and adventure tourism with an amount of Rs 49.51 crore.
He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, continuous efforts are being made to give prestige to the state’s tourist destinations at the global level, to which the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also providing special support. For this we thank the Central Government, especially Prime Minister Modi and Union Tourism and Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
At the same time, Andrew Fleming, Deputy High Commissioner of the British Government in India, paid a courtesy call on Tourism cum Industry Minister Nitish Mishra on Thursday. On this occasion he discussed in detail the issues of mutual cooperation.
Minister Nitish Mishra told the Deputy High Commissioner that we can exchange ideas and knowledge at the level of tourism, culture and industrial development. He also informed them about the emerging tourism sector and industrial environment in the state and invited them to participate in the Global Investor Summit Bihar Business Connect-2024, which is going to be organized in Patna on 19th and 20th December.
The Minister informed him about the strengthening of industrial structure in the state, creation of infrastructure in the field of tourism and tourism and industry policy.
