Jaipur : Two youths have climbed a water tank in Jaipur demanding cancellation of SI recruitment examination (2021) for jobs in Rajasthan Police. For the last 24 hours, all the efforts of the administration to convince them are proving unsuccessful. These two youth named Vikas Bidhuri and Ladu Godara are calling themselves unemployed. Their demand is that they will not come down until their delegation meets the Chief Minister. He has released a video demanding that the government should do justice to the unemployed by canceling this recruitment examination as soon as possible.
mesh installed under the tank
Seeing the seriousness of the situation, a large number of policemen and civil defense team have reached the spot. As a precaution, a net has been installed all around the bottom of the tank. Meanwhile, both the youths have alleged that the police have detained some of their comrades who were supporting them below, although the police have denied this.
At the same time, such demonstration of youth is being supported on social media and the issue of demand for cancellation of examination is trending on social media.
These two youths climbed the tank at around 1 pm on Sunday afternoon in Himmatnagar area of Jaipur. He has taken a banner with him which he has hung on the tank. In this, a question has been raised giving 7 reasons why the government is not canceling this examination. He is holding a megaphone in his hand. His argument is that now it has become clear that Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) member Baburam Katara had divided the commission members even a month before the examination.
Many officers, including Jaipur’s DCP East Tejaswini Gautam, made several efforts to convince the youth but were not successful. Administrative officials appealed to the youth to come down and talk to the competent authorities but both the youth refused.
Eyes are on the court’s decision
20 people have been accused in this examination case. His bail plea was heard in the High Court last week. This hearing is in its final stages. Experts are of the opinion that the High Court’s decision will prove helpful in determining the way forward. During the hearing last Friday, the court has asked all the parties to give their final submissions in writing, one page each, by today. SOG will also submit the final fresh report in this matter in the court today. Only after this the decision will be pronounced by the court.
According to experts, the court’s decision in this case will be very important because till now no accused has been convicted in this case. If the High Court grants bail, it will shock the investigating agency. Besides, this may also weaken the demand for cancellation of recruitment. The demand for cancellation of this examination has gained momentum for some time. It was expected that after the Chief Minister returned from his foreign tour last month, the Bhajan Lal government might take a decision regarding cancellation of the examination, but it did not happen.
