Udaipur: 5 people killed while outing in friend’s new car, hit by dumper

Udaipur : 5 friends died in a collision between a dumper and a car in Udaipur on Thursday night. Everyone had come for a ride in a friend’s new car. The father had bought a new car for his son only two months ago. As soon as the news of the death of the five friends was received, there was chaos in everyone’s house. A young man got married only two years ago. She has a four month old daughter. The wife is in bad condition and crying. Sukher police station officer Himanshu Singh Rajawat said – The car riders in the accident were Himmat Khatik (32), resident of Delwara (Rajsamand), Pankaj Nagarchi (24), resident of Bedla, Udaipur, Gopal Nagarchi (27), resident of Kharol Colony, Gaurav Jinagar (23), resident of Sisarma and Narayan son of Mangilal Gameti, resident of Kanpur Kheda died. The five youths were going from Amberi Pulia towards Debari. During this time there was a collision between the dumper and the car. All five youths died. After the accident, the dumper driver and his owner were caught.

Father said- Son had got the car 2 months ago

Mohanlal, father of Himmat Khatik, resident of Delwara, said – The son had gone to Udaipur saying he was going to meet his friends. When the news of the accident was received at night, it was as if the heart had burst. Said- He was very fond of driving cars. He told me – Papa, get me a new car, the installment of which I will pay. Got a new car from Udaipur only two months ago. Himmat was the eldest of two brothers and a sister. At present he was not doing any job.

Mansha had come to celebrate the fast of Mahadev.

Pankaj Nagarchi (27) was a resident of Bedla, Udaipur. His brother Ankur had come to MB Hospital to collect his brother’s body. He told- Pankaj was the youngest among three brothers. Had gone out around 7 pm on Thursday evening saying he was going out with friends. At around 2 o’clock in the night, I got a call from my uncle and informed about the accident. Couldn’t believe it after hearing the news of brother’s death. Ankur told- Pankaj used to work in a cafe in Indore. After completion of Mansha Mahadev’s fast, he came to Udaipur on 4th November for his Udyapan. Was going to go back to Indore in three-four days.

Sent the photo to the police, then came to know about the death

Narayan Gameti, a resident of Kanpur Kheda, was married only two years ago. They have a 4 month old daughter. He used to work at a grocery shop. Deputy Sarpanch of the village, Suresh Kumar said – Today around 10 am, his wife came to me in distress. He told that Narayan has not come home since night. Had left the house asking to go out for some work. Sent Narayan’s photo to the police. Then it seemed that he died in an accident. He was the youngest among the Chara brothers. His father does farming.

The son had gone out saying he was going to meet a friend.
Bhanwarlal, father of Gaurav Jinagar, resident of Sisarma, is a head constable. Presently posted in police line. He told- The son was eating dinner at home around 7:30 pm on Thursday evening. Then a call came from his friend Himmat Khatik. After having dinner, he left saying he was going to meet a friend.
