Udaipur : After Diwali, tourism will be on boom in Udaipur Lake City in December. Tourists have already started booking for New Year celebrations. In the last week of December, there has been 100 percent booking in resorts and five-star hotels located around the city. That means these are packs. Travel Agent Association Treasurer Surendra Kumar said that packages have already started being booked for the New Year. One day package is being booked for Rs 30 to 40 thousand. This includes stay in five star resort-hotel, New Year party etc. Big resorts and lake side hotels are sold out from now for the period from December 26 to January 2, 2025. Secretary of Hotel Institute Southern Rajasthan, Rakesh Chaudhary said that tourists are mostly preferring resorts for New Year. Most of the events and parties are being organised.
Villas also in trend, because tourists want privacy
For New Year, the fare in big hotels-resorts of the city has gone up from Rs 50 thousand to Rs 1 lakh. The package includes Gala Dinner, Stay etc. Many tourists are preferring villas instead of hotels. Because they want privacy. Bookings are being made to celebrate New Year in solitude with family. The rent of a room in villas around the city has reached Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000.
The influx of foreigners also increased in the winter schedule, boom in December
1.72 lakh tourists came in October… The beginning of the tourism season in Lake City was with a bang. This year, 1.72 lakh tourists visited in October. Of these, 1.55 lakh were locals and 17490 were foreigners. 1.61 lakh tourists had arrived in September. Which included 1.54 lakh Indians and 7297 foreigners.

Now December will start with Kumbhalgarh Festival. This event will be held from 1st to 3rd December, in which tourists from India and abroad will come to participate. After this, Shilpgram Mahatsav will be held in the city from 21st to 30th December. After this, New Year celebration will take place on 31st December. In such a situation, tourism will remain on boom throughout the month.
