Udaipur : Two new attractions are going to be added in wildlife tourism for the tourists visiting Udaipur in the upcoming tourist season. It is believed that the Lion Safari being built in Sajjangarh Sanctuary and the Reptile House being built in the Biological Park can be inaugurated before Diwali. In such a situation, this will be a new attraction for the tourists visiting Udaipur from Diwali to New Year.
The construction of Lion Safari in 20 hectare area by Jantalaya Vikas Trust in Sajjangarh Wildlife Sanctuary is almost completed. On which Rs 345 lakh is being spent by the Trust. For the start of Lion Safari, male lion Samrat and female Sunaina have been brought from Sakkarbagh Zoological Park in Junagadh, Gujarat in the month of August itself, which will be released in their new sultanate with the inauguration.
Breeding will increase the family
Samrat and Sunaina’s family is expected to increase in Lion Safari in future. Also some more lions will be brought here. Ten cages have been made here for them, so that as the population of lions increases, there is enough space available for them. Let us tell you that in the month of February this year, the Central Zoo Authority had given approval to bring two lions (a pair of male and female) from Junagadh to Udaipur for lion safari.
The world of reptiles will thrill you
On the other hand, in the Reptile House being built in the Bio Park, tourists will get to see snakes and turtles of exotic and rare native species. The reptile house has been completed at a cost of Rs 1 crore 90 lakh. Soon, reptiles from other zoos of the country will be brought here under the exchange program.
Special cages have been prepared for reptiles near the crocodile cage in the Bio Park. Ten partitions each have been made. Where reptiles of different species will be kept. Tourists and wildlife lovers coming here will be able to see them through transparent glass. Only the work of installing glass is left in these.
Exotic and rare species will be seen
According to the new proposals, King Cobra (Indian), Travancore Tortoise (Indian), Russell’s Viper (Indian), Royal Snake (Indian), Indian Rock Python, Ball Python (Hybrid, Exotic), Green Lugana (Exotic), Red Lugana (Exotic) ), Argentine Black and White Tegu (exotic), Galapagos Tortoise (exotic) species will be brought.
