Udaipur : Udaipur It feels very strange when we tell that we live in Bhuwana Gram Panchayat area. People suddenly don’t believe it, they can’t understand why it is so? People living in the most planned colony of Udaipur city and facing the discrepancy between city and village, expressed their pain openly on Sunday. The occasion was Jan Chaupal organized under the joint aegis of Chitrakoot Nagar and Shyam Nagar Welfare Society. Under the ongoing campaign ‘Corporation demands expansion, needs facilities’, a Jan Chaupal was held on Sunday at Shri Ram Park located in Chitrakoot Nagar A Block of the city. In which officials of both the societies along with local citizens also participated. People openly discussed the problems arising due to their area being included in Bhuwana Gram Panchayat despite living in an urban area. While speaking in Jan Chaupal, people said that this colony was developed by UIT about three decades ago. Then it was developed on the land of Bhuwana Gram Panchayat itself. But now this entire area has become completely urbanized.
Despite this it was not included in the limits of the Municipal Corporation. Whereas this work should have been done almost two decades ago. During this, people unanimously said that now this entire area should be included in the corporation in the upcoming municipal elections. Because the problems arising from the disparity between cities and villages can no longer be tolerated. Everyone unanimously passed a resolution demanding inclusion of the colonies in the Municipal Corporation. Officials and colony residents participated in the Jan Chaupal organized by the Welfare Society.
