Udaipur : Rising Rajasthan Investors Summit is going to be organized in the state in December. Even though the government has made preparations to bring in huge investments from India and abroad in Rajasthan, it is not possible to achieve its objective unless investments are made keeping in mind the identity of the particular region. If we talk about Mewar-Vagad in South Rajasthan, it has its own distinct produce and identity, but the government is not paying attention to the investment related to it. There is immense potential for investment in tourism and marble as well as agro processing in Mewar-Vagad. There is a need to attract investors for setting up processing units related to maize in Vagad and forest produce in Mewar.
Features and prospects of Udaipur district
● Udaipur is a tourist city, hence there should be more investment related to tourism, such as investment by hotel industry, travel companies etc.
● Udaipur is known for marble and other minerals. There is a need to promote the marble industry and make planned investment in the mining sector.
● Udaipur is also becoming a hub for IT industry. In such a situation, there is scope for greater investment in this sector as well, which requires planned work.
