Udaipur: Leopard found in cage near colony in Gogunda, got relief

Udaipur News Desk: A leopard got stuck in a cage on Wednesday morning in a village about five kilometers away from Gogunda, Udaipur. Later the leopard was brought to Udaipur. The leopard had hunted sheep here a day earlier. The leopard got trapped in a cage near Gharavan Nai Basti of Chatiya Khedi Gram Panchayat of Gogunda area. Today at around 6 o’clock in the morning, when the villagers were passing by, they realized that there was a leopard in the cage and when they looked closer, they saw that the leopard was trapped in the cage. Later the forest department was informed.

Meanwhile, a crowd of people gathered where the cage was installed. The village people and children gathered there and were watching the leopard near the cage. The forest department team reached the spot and first removed the crowd of people from there. At around 9.30, the forest department team took the caged two-year-old female leopard to Sajjangarh Biological Park in Udaipur. Let us tell you that here on Tuesday, the leopard entered an enclosure near Gharawan Naya Basti and killed Jetaram Gyari. Had hunted sheep. During this time, a large number of villagers gathered there and expressed their displeasure over the continuous movement of the leopard. There is a settlement of about 20 houses there. On receiving the information, the Forest Department team later reached the spot and on the demand of the villagers, after the incident, a cage was put there till evening in which the leopard got trapped this morning itself.
