Udaipur : Udaipur: The locks on the toilets built by spending lakhs of rupees at historical places associated with Maharana Pratap have finally been opened. After the news was published, Archaeological Survey of India officials inspected the sites and instructed the personnel to open the toilets. Toilets at Shahibaug and Chetak Samadhi memorial were made operational on Tuesday. Deepak Meena, conservation assistant of the Udaipur sub-division of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), and others on Monday inspected the toilets completed in the Badshahi and Chetak Samadhi memorial complex, which were locked for several months.
The ASI officer instructed the personnel working in the protected monuments and gardens in Haldighati and Khamnor to open toilets. On Tuesday, archaeologists opened the locks of the toilets in Badshahi Bagh and Chetak Samadhi Memorial Complex and cleaned them. Made arrangements for water and opened toilets for tourists. However, toilet facilities for tourists have still not been started in Raktalai. It was told that the ready-made toilets made of fiber which were brought to Raktalai and Shahibaug garden complex 10 years ago are no longer useful as they have expired. In such a situation, there is little possibility of these toilets being used.
It is noteworthy that if the toilets built for tourists at historical places are locked, then on 24th November 2024, ‘Lakhs are spent in making toilets, will it cost money to open the locks too?’ The news was published with the title. After that, ASI officers came into action and inspected the historical sites and gave instructions to open the toilets.
