Udaipur Patients travel in unfit ambulance, 18 unfit, 3 seized, not even insurance

Udaipur : Udaipur If the ambulance which transports the patients from the hospital to home or to another hospital is unfit, then how can the patient’s safety be guaranteed. A similar game was going on in MB Hospital. Most of the private ambulances parked illegally here turned out to be unfit. After the magazine’s news, when the transport department and police teams raided the hospital, 18 ambulances were found without insurance and fitness. If by chance this ambulance meets with an accident and there is any casualty, who will be responsible? Apart from this, other ambulances also did not meet the rules. In some cases, medical equipment was not available to deal with emergencies, while in others other problems were found. These ambulances were never even inspected by the medical department team. On Thursday, the Transport Department did an online check on the basis of the numbers of all the ambulances captured in photos and videos a day earlier and found that all their documents were incomplete. The team has issued challans of 59 ambulances and seized three in two days.

Here, the hospital management has written a letter to the Superintendent of Police to remove all the unauthorized vehicles and ambulances parked in the premises. There is a discussion going on to streamline the pre-paid system. It is worth noting that Rajasthan Patrika on 3rd December published ‘The bullying of private ambulance operators in MB Hospital… running in collusion, most of them are scandalous’. A series of news were published under the title ‘Action zero, private ambulance parked outside the gate and cardiology’. After which teams of police, transport and medical departments were formed and raided and action was taken against all the ambulances. On the second day, Transport Department Inspector Syed Shakeel Ali, Traffic Inspector Sunil Charan and Japte of Hathipol police station took action to seize the ambulance in the hospital premises and issue challan.

Many vehicles are not even drivable

If any vehicle does not have insurance and fitness, then that vehicle is not fit to run on the road, but with the connivance of the hospital, many such vehicles were found running which did not have any documents. Apart from fitness and insurance, someone did not have registration and someone’s body was completely bad. Vehicles with UP, MP and Gujarat numbers were found parked there unauthorizedly. The team has issued challans after finding deficiencies in all the ambulance papers. Now the transport department will give approval to run these vehicles only after they are fitted.
