Udaipur : After the publication of news regarding private ambulance operators in Udaipur MB Hospital, the arrangements have not been improved yet and meanwhile, a new taxi stand for private vehicles has been revealed in the hospital premises. These private taxis are mostly engaged in transporting the patients of Janana Hospital. After bringing the patient from outside, the taxis of Udaipur and outer numbers are earning money by taking other patients here for two to three days till discharge. After many clashes with the ambulance operators regarding this, no one took any action against them while they were standing here and there in the hospital premises. Rajasthan Patrika wrote ‘The bullying of private ambulance operators in MB Hospital…running in collusion, most of the cases’. A series of news were published under the title ‘Action zero, private ambulance parked outside the gate and cardiology’. After the publication of the news, police, transport and medical departments formed teams and conducted raids and took action against all the ambulances, but now new incidents of operating the vehicles are coming to light.
The parking system is deteriorating: Till now the hospital management used to earn money annually by giving the parking system on contract. In which the contractor used to collect money from the drivers by deducting receipts, but this system was changed to free parking. Now the hospital administration is making payment to the contractor. However, despite this the parking system has not improved. In the previous system, vehicles from the inner city were parked at the hospital and the people coming here did not get space in the parking lot. Now, despite the system being upside down, there is shortage of space due to private ambulances and private vehicles.
They are spoiling the system by parking vehicles here and there
hospital As soon as the patients are discharged, the yellow slip form is filled. The attendant brings this form outside to get the photo status done to submit it in the hospital records. As soon as they see the yellow form in the attendant’s hand, private taxi operators start chasing him. If even one of them gets stuck, they take the patients. These private vehicles are also spoiling the parking system by standing here and there in the hospital. But no one is going to throw them out.
