Udaipur University refused to give land, no relief at present

Udaipur : Udaipur The relief plan for the people coming from Hiranmagri on Sevashram Marg of the city has been hampered. The plan to construct a road by acquiring land from the Nehru Hostel of Mohanlal Sukhadia University located at one end of the culvert is not coming to fruition. The university has refused to give the land. To remove the hurdle in this route, a few months ago, city MLA Tarachand Jain appealed to Vice Chancellor Prof. Had inspected the spot with Sunita Mishra and UDA Commissioner Rahul Jain. At that time, the Vice Chancellor had expressed verbal consent to give 20 feet of land of Nehru Hostel to UDA. Negotiations regarding the route continued for some time. But due to non-availability of land by the University, this plan could not proceed further.

Had the land for Nehru Hostel been available here, the residents of the area would not have had to go to the wrong side near Sevashram Puliya to go to the colony behind the hostel. People coming here from Sector 6 have to go to the wrong side through the cut in front of the hostel. Which later reaches the colony behind the hostel via Dore Nagar. Due to this, many times there is jam on the cut in front of the hostel. Many times accidents and disputes occur. In view of this problem, efforts were being made to ease the way regarding hostel land. According to official sources of UDA, the plan has come to a halt due to the university’s refusal to give the land.

old dispute resurfaced

university The old dispute with UDA has come to light behind the refusal of the UDA to give the land. It is being told that an agreement was signed between UDA and MLSU in 2017. Under which UDA had acquired some land from the university to build a road. Some land of the university was to be converted and auctioned. Due to non-fulfillment of this agreement, the University refused to give the land.
