Udaipur News Desk: Continuous search is going on for the body of a youth who drowned three days ago in a pond of Saira police station area in Udaipur. SDRF teams have been searching for the dead body in the water for three days from morning to evening. The divers of the team are searching for the dead body by wearing oxygen masks and going into 15 feet deep water but are not getting any success. Police team is also deployed on the spot.
Head Constable Yashwant Singh Jhala said that due to presence of large amount of garbage including water chestnuts and water hyacinth in the water, there is difficulty in searching the body, yet SDRF teams are busy in their efforts. Let us tell you that on Sunday afternoon, Khum Singh, a resident of Mathara of Punawali village Medi of the police station area, had jumped into the pond. Due to which he died. Earlier the villagers had tried to find the body. Later the SDRF team was called.
When the police and villagers ran to catch him, the young man jumped into the pond.
Police Officer Praveen Singh said that information was received from the villagers that a youth named Khum Singh was scaring people with a sword. Tried to attack a goat and a person walking on the road with a sword. On which police force reached the spot. By then the accused youth disappeared from there. When the police team tried to find him with the help of the villagers, he was seen running towards the pond. The villagers and the police asked him to stop but the youth suddenly jumped into the pond. He told that the young man was mentally disturbed for some days.
