Sirohi News Desk: Late on Monday night, an MBBS student committed suicide by jumping from the roof of the hostel at BR Ambedkar Medical College in Paldi M police station area of Sirohi district. Police reached the spot on information and took the body into custody and kept it in the mortuary of the district hospital. According to the police, the deceased student is Rahul Kumar Garasia, resident of Panatara village under Nana police station. The student was a third year MBBS student in the medical college here. He lived in the hostel here. It is being told that he was studying in his room till 2:30 in the night. After this, at around 3 o’clock, Rahul jumped from the sixth floor of the hostel. Due to which he died on the spot. Police found Rahul’s slippers and mobile on the sixth floor of the hostel.

Police said that examinations are still going on in the college. Rahul’s paper was spoiled two days ago. He also told his colleagues about this. Rahul was under stress since the exam. Prima facie the police is considering the paper spoilage as the reason for suicide. Investigation of the matter is ongoing.
