Udaipur : Under the new education policy, changes are being seen in the curriculum. The pattern of B.Com Honors has completely changed from this academic session. Under this, from this year, admissions in the first year of B.Com. Honors have been closed in the Commerce College of Sukhadia University, Rajasthan. Now under the semester system, those who complete the three-year course of B.Com. with a minimum of 120 credits (obtained marks) will be eligible for B.Com. Honors. According to the new course curriculum prepared under the semester scheme, now the B.Com. Honors degree will be completed in four years. In which the first three-year B.Com. will have six semesters. After completion of which the student will be able to complete one-year Honors in two semesters. B.Com. Honors can be done in any one of three different subjects. That is, there will be a total of eight semesters in B.Com. Honors. In which six semesters will be of B.Com. and two of Honors course.
There will also be an opportunity for research
Students pursuing honours will also get the opportunity to do research. Students who choose the research option in the B.Com Honours course will get the degree of B.Com Honours with Research. For example, students who do only honours will get the degree of B.Com (Hons) and those who do research will get the degree of B.Com (Hons with Research).

Prof. B.L. Verma, Dean, College of Commerce and Management Studies, Udaipur University, said that changes are being made under the new education policy. The curriculum is being made research, practical and skill oriented. Changes are also being made in B.Com. Honors under this. This course will now be taught according to the new pattern. –
Honours can be done in these subjects
According to the new syllabus, after B.Com. students will be able to do B.Com. Honours in any one of Accountancy and Business Statistics, Banking and Business Economics and Business Administration.
The first batch came after two years
The new course pattern is based on the semester system. Its first batch started from the last academic session. Its students will complete their first year this year. They will be able to complete their B.Com after two years. After which these students will be able to take admission in B.Com Honors.
