The main building of this fort has the Chauth Bhavani temple, which is built at a height of 1100 feet on the mountain. This temple was built by Maharaja Bhim Singh Chauhan in the year 1451. The village is named Chauth after this temple. The village is called Chauth ka Barwada. This temple is of Chauth Mata, who is also known as Chauru Mata. People of Chauru and Kanjar tribes used to worship this Mata, but now people of Meena community of Rajasthan also worship Chauth Mata. It is said that the idol of Chauth Mata used to come in the dreams of Maharaja Bhim Singh, but the king dreamed of Always ignored.
