Jaipur : The search for a new state president in Rajasthan BJP has intensified. According to sources, this time the party can bet on a leader from OBC or SC category. There is also a discussion that the party can appoint a woman leader to this post. Although the new state president is to be elected in the party in December, but in view of the by-elections, it is being considered that why not appoint a new state president in the month of August itself, so that the new caste equations can be benefited in the by-elections. According to high-ranking sources of the party, serious brainstorming is going on about the appointment of a new state president in the month of August itself. Party leaders are brainstorming that once the state president is appointed. After this, his election will be held in December. Earlier, the same thing happened in the case of Satish Poonia, Ashok Parnami. They were first appointed as state presidents. After this, their election was held after some time.
More focus on original OBC class
The party is more serious about appointing a leader from the original OBC category to the post of state president. It is being told that the names of Rajya Sabha MP Madan Rathore, Rajendra Gehlot, former minister Prabhu Lal Saini are the most discussed in political circles. Prabhu Lal Saini is also demanding a ticket from Deoli-Uniyara assembly in the by-election. Former Union Minister Kailash Chaudhary’s name was also considered for the post of state president after the assembly elections and even now a faction of the RSS is in his favor. A faction of senior leaders also wants to focus on the SC category. After the rhetoric about SC reservation in the Lok Sabha elections, the party wants to give the message that it is in favor of the SC category and the talk of ending the reservation was a lie. The party can also play its bet on the post of a woman from the SC category or a woman MLA.
A section of Delhi is also in favor of the current president Joshi
The current state president of the party CP Joshi is working as the president. The assembly elections were won under his leadership, but the expected results were not achieved in the Lok Sabha elections. However, a section of big leaders in Delhi wants Joshi to remain the state president. Leaders in favor of Joshi believe that he has not yet got a chance to work much in the organization. It has been only one and a quarter years since he became the state president. There is only one negative point for him and that is the caste equations of the state. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma and CP Joshi belong to the same class.
