Uproar in Navneet Rana’s public meeting, chairs thrown, FIR registered

Amravati, November 17 (IANS). Chairs were thrown at a public meeting of Navneet Rana, former MP from Amravati Lok Sabha seat in Maharashtra and veteran Bharatiya Janata Party leader. She narrowly escaped in this commotion. The former MP has lodged an FIR against the accused.

The entire matter is related to Dariyapur constituency of Amravati. Former BJP MP Navneet Rana had come here on Saturday (16 November) to campaign for ‘Yuva Swabhiman Party’ candidate Ramesh Bundeli.

When Navneet Rana was addressing the public meeting, some miscreants present in the meeting created ruckus and started breaking chairs and throwing them on each other. BJP leaders narrowly escaped in this uproar.

After the uproar, Navneet Rana along with her supporters and party workers reached Khallar police station and lodged an FIR against unknown accused. The video of the commotion has gone viral, through which the accused are being identified.

Considering the sensitivity of the matter, police security has been increased at the spot.

Let us tell you that as the election date is coming closer in the election state Maharashtra, the political temperature is increasing in the state. Voting for 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra is to be held in a single phase on November 20. Election results will be revealed on 23 November. All the parties have thrown themselves completely into the election campaign.

The opposition grand alliance ‘Maha Vikas Aghadi’ comprising the Congress, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) and Sharad Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (SP) is moving ahead with the aim of ousting the ruling Mahayuti government. At the same time, Shiv Sena led by Eknath Shinde is once again claiming to remain in power in front of the grand alliance government of BJP and Ajit Pawar’s NCP.
