US President forgives his son, experts in India call him a double character

New Delhi, December 2 (IANS). Before the end of his term as US President, Joe Biden pardoned his son Hunter in the ongoing judicial cases, which has given him relief from a possible jail sentence. President Biden on Sunday announced a full and unconditional pardon against Hunter. Explaining the reason behind this, he said that he was targeted only because Hunter is his son. On this, retired IFS officer Ashok Sajjanhar has called it hypocrisy and double character of America.

Ashok Sajjanhar told IANS, “In my view, this reflects the hypocrisy and double standards of America. Earlier Joe Biden had said that he will not use his presidential power and will not use his presidential power against his son Hunter Biden who is accused of drugs and illegal weapons. There were allegations that he would not interfere in them. But now, when his party’s candidate has lost and there is a possibility that Trump’s government may come, he feels that now the new government will take action against his son. Too “There will be action, just like the Democrats did against Trump. That’s why they used their power and completely went back on what they said before.”

He said, “The second thing is that the departments of America like the Department of Justice and Securities Exchange Commission, they refuse to accept it against the people, but when it comes to the accused of their own party, there is no action against them. Concrete action is not taken. The work of these institutions is done under political pressure, which seems very wrong. America calls itself a protector of democracy and law, but such policies show its duplicitous character. Are.”

Lieutenant General Sanjay Kulkarni (retd) said, “The way Joe Biden completely pardoned his son Hunter and said that the allegations against him were made due to political pressure, it raises a question. Biden argued that he always had confidence in the Department of Justice, but now he suspects that the charges against his son were brought only because he is his son and that he was impeached due to political pressure. Hunter is accused of serious matters like drugs, sexual misconduct and tax evasion, and till now he has not been punished. If Biden himself is not able to trust his department, then how can we believe that the same department. Is it working fairly?”
