The situation is such that street vendors and other people around the Municipal Corporation are also using single use plastic and cups. Such cups and plastics are also being used in the Collectorate premises. Municipal Corporation Commissioner Naveen Bhardwaj visited the city once again on Wednesday. He advised the shopkeepers, street vendors etc. in Surajpol, Mill Gate, Bangar School area not to use plastic, disposable etc. He made a challan of Rs 8000.
Get the toilet checked and cleaned
The cleanliness system of all the urinal toilets etc. of the city was checked by the Commissioner. The toilets which were not clean were cleaned with a jetting machine. He gave instructions to clean the garbage with a broom after picking it up from the garbage stand in the city. Shopkeepers, street vendors etc. were prohibited from maintaining cleanliness and not burning garbage. Municipal Corporation has been instructing for a long time not to use single use plastic and plastic and paper cups for tea etc. Whereas there is no restriction of any kind on those selling them. In such a situation, street vendors, tea stall vendors and others are not stopping their use. They say that if the sale is stopped then the usage will automatically stop.
