Lucknow, 22 November (IANS). The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet on Friday approved the expansion of the Aqua Line of metro rail service between Noida-Greater Noida. This decision has been taken in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to ease the traffic from Sector-51 Metro Station to Knowledge Park of Greater Noida.
The Cabinet has also approved the proposal to provide initial funds for the expansion of nine urban development authorities of the state. Besides, allocation of funds for transmission line and substation in 800 MW solar project in Chitrakoot has also been approved.
Yogi Cabinet has also approved the proposal to add 80 villages in the limits of Kanpur Development Authority under the Chief Minister Urban Expansion Scheme. This decision has been taken keeping in mind the development of Kanpur city.
Finance Minister Suresh Khanna told the media at Lok Bhavan here that the Cabinet has approved the extension of the 17.435 km long Aqua Line Metro project from Sector-51 Noida station to Knowledge Park in Greater Noida to ease the traffic from Noida to Greater Noida. The proposal has been accepted.
For this, the Government of India spent Rs 394 crore and the same amount was spent by the State Government. 40 percent of the amount will be sanctioned by the state government and 60 percent will be sanctioned by the Greater Noida Authority.
11 new stations between Noida-Greater Noida Noida Sector-51, Noida Sector-61, Noida Sector-70, Noida Sector-122, Noida Sector-123, Group Noida Sector-4, Eco Tech-12, Group Noida Sector-2 , Group Noida Sector-3, Grade Noida Sector-10, Grade Noida Sector-12 and There will be Greater Noida Knowledge Park-5.
