
New Delhi, December 8. Parliament is set to discuss the national song ‘Vande Mataram’ on Monday. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Members of Parliament (MPs) have called for a constructive and meaningful discussion on the song.
Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat stated, “Following the decision of the Business Advisory Committee, the Lok Sabha will hold a 10-hour discussion on the national song Vande Mataram.” He elaborated that Bankim Chandra Chatterjee penned ‘Vande Mataram’ 150 years ago in his book ‘Anandamath’, and it gradually became a crucial part of India’s freedom struggle.
