Various organizations expressed their views on the issue of having a temple in Ajmer Dargah.

Ajmer : Ajmer All India Muslim Personal Law Board expressed surprise at the issue of notice by the local court terming the claim made on the Dargah of Ajmer as baseless. Officials of the Muslim Personal Law Board and local officials jointly issued a statement during the press conference. The statement said that under the Place of Worship Act 1991, the status of a place of worship of August 15, 1947 cannot be challenged. But despite this, claims are being made on the Dargah of Ajmer along with mosques at many places.

Such topics can cause instability and unrest in the country. The Supreme Court has been requested to intervene in this. On Wednesday, Muslim Personal Law Board General Secretary Maulana Shah Fazlurrahim Mujdidi, spokesperson Dr. Syed Qasim Rasool Ilyas, Syed Sarwar Chishti, Syed Ghaffar Hussain Kazmi, Syed Abdul Haq, Syed Sharib Sanjari, Syed Shamimi Usmani addressed.

Examination of the Petition Constitution: Social Democratic Party of India’s national general secretary Yasmin Farooqui called the filed suit a challenge to the secular principles of the Constitution. He said, ‘This petition is a test of the Constitution made by Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar. Crores of followers of Khwaja Saheb are waiting for his response. Rajratna Ambedkar, great-grandson of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar and president of the Buddhist Society of India, warned against misuse of the judicial process to target religious places in the press conference. He said, if this trend continues, we will also file a petition to conduct a survey to discover Buddhist heritage under the temples. SDPI National Vice President Mohammad Shafi gave a strong statement underlining the historical importance of the 800 year old Dargah. He said that this Dargah has always been a symbol of religious and cultural unity.
