Vasu Yadav of Alwar Neemrana won gold in archery.

Alwar : Vasu Yadav of Neemrana has won Golz medal in archery competition. Vasu won the medal by performing best in overall India. National level Under 17 Archery competition was held in Nadiad, Gujarat on 11 and 12 November.

Coach Somesh told that the 68th National Level Archery Boys Under 17 Age Group Compound Competition was held at the Nadiad District Sports Complex ground in Gujarat. In which promising Vasu Yadav of Fauladpur village of Neemrana, representing Rajasthan, performed overall best in India and scored 704 marks. Who remained top among the players of the entire country and Vasu won the gold medal. Also, Rajasthan team’s associate players Prabal Pratap and Aditya Bhati performed brilliantly and won the gold medal for Rajasthan in the team level.

Vasu Yadav achieved great success in an ordinary rural environment. Vasu Yadav’s father Surendra Yadav runs a small play group school in the village. Besides, Vasu Yadav’s mother Vandana Yadav also teaches in the school. Vasu Yadav told that his grandfather retired Subedar Amilal Yadav always motivates him to grow up. Also, success has been achieved due to good training by the coach.

Vasu Yadav has also been selected as the only player for Khelo India. Villagers including Alwar District Archery President Sanjeev Gaur, Sarpanch Krishna Yadav, Coach Somesh, Narendra Yadav expressed happiness and congratulated Vasu Yadav on winning the gold medal in the archery competition.
