Jaipur : There are a lot of problems regarding electricity in Ajmer city of Rajasthan. People here are constantly complaining. Assembly Speaker and MLA from Ajmer North Vasudev Devnani has expressed strong displeasure over the irregular electricity system. He has given a 7-day ultimatum to Tata Power. He has told the officials of Tata Power that if the system is not improved in 7 days, the state government will reconsider the franchise MOU. Apart from this, Devnani has also instructed the District Collector and Ajmer Discom to take strict action. Devnani asked the officials of Tata Power to pick up the calls of the general public and resolve their problems soon. At the same time, the Discom has sent a notice to Tata Power as per the instructions of Devnani and has sought a reply.
Tata Power Get Ready for Action
On Thursday, the people of Ajmer met the Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani regarding electricity related problems in the city. Taking cognizance of this, Devnani immediately called the officers of Tata Power and expressed his displeasure. He said that Tata Power was given the franchise to improve the electricity system of the city. But for a long time, the common people are angry with the working style and mismanagement of Tata Power. Problems of power cuts and absence are coming to the fore. Tata Power should improve its working style or be ready for action. He instructed Tata Power to improve its working style, attitude, problem solving and answering the public within a week. If Tata Power does not improve, then the franchise MOU will be reconsidered after talking to the state government. Tata Power should increase manpower in all offices, focus on maintenance and improvements, increase load capacity and improve the working conditions.
Instructions given to the District Magistrate to take action
Devnani also directed District Collector Dr. Bharti Dixit and Ajmer Discom Chief Engineer Mukesh Baldi to take strict action against this negligence. If Tata Power is violating the terms and conditions of the MOU, then take action against it. Tata Power’s accountability towards the public should be fixed.
Discom also issued notice
On the other hand, under the instructions of Assembly Speaker Devnani, Ajmer Discom has also issued a notice to Tata Power and sought a reply. Discom said in its notice that Tata Power should tell how many manpower teams are currently working in the power sector for maintenance of LT and HT lines in Ajmer city. How many employees are working under them. Provide information about the names and designations of all the employees currently working, along with qualifications, experience etc.
