Jhalawar : Former Chief Minister of Rajasthan and veteran BJP leader Vasundhara Raje Scindia has a precious relationship with Jhalawar district and its people. The pair of Ram and Shyam, who used to bring sarees for Vasundhara Raje on every Jhalawar tour and used to reach Raje’s residence every year with Rakhi on Raksha Bandhan, finally got separated. Shyam said goodbye to the world, that too on the day of Raksha Bandhan. In such a situation, whenever Vasundhara Raje Scindia will be on a tour of Jhalawar, her eyes will definitely look for Shyam.
Ram-Shyam used to come with Rakhi and saree
Local people say that Ram and Shyam had been getting Rakhi tied by Vasundhara Raje Scindia for more than two decades. Whenever Raje used to visit Jhalawar, Ram and Shyam used to meet her with sarees for her. On the occasion of Rakshabandhan, Ram and Shyam used to reach wherever Raje was and get Rakhi tied by her. Both the brothers were residents of Bhagwanpur village of Pidaawa area of Jhalawar district and were twins. The real names of both were Nathu Singh and Bapu Singh but Vasundhara Raje named both the brothers Ram and Shyam. Now Bapu Singh i.e. Shyam has passed away and Ram is left alone.
Raje’s precious relations in Jhalawar
If we talk about Vasundhara Raje Scindia’s relations in Jhalawar district, then Ram and Shyam are not the only ones with whom Raje has such a close relationship. Apart from them, there are many such people and families in the district with whom Raje has been continuously maintaining her spoken relations. Rajendra, a resident of Raipur area of Jhalawar district and Kalu Gurjar, a resident of Bawdi Kheda, are also such examples. Rajendra calls Vasundhara Raje Scindia mother and he reaches Raje anywhere. He even insists on asking her about any matter. But Raje sometimes scolds him with great affection and sometimes laughs after listening to him. Kalu Gurjar, a resident of Bawdi Kheda near Jhalawar, considers Raje as his in-laws and is present there during any visit of Raje to Jhalawar. Not only this, Raje’s son MP Dushyant Singh also maintains a good relationship with Rajendra and Kalu Gurjar. When he is in Jhalawar, he often goes to Kalu Gurjar’s house in the morning to have tea. In the village, he sits on the platform outside Kalu’s house and sips tea and laughs and jokes a lot.
