Vegetable prices rise in Rajasthan, coriander is Rs 300 per kg

Jaipur : The continuous heavy rains in Rajasthan have created flood-like conditions in many districts, due to which vegetable crops have been destroyed. This has affected the kitchen of the common man. This has spoiled the taste of the food plate. For the last two months, there has been a continuous rise in the prices of vegetables. The effect of which is clearly visible on the pocket of the common man at this time. Buying vegetables daily is becoming a burden for him. Coriander (Coriander) which is available for free is also becoming out of the reach of customers.

Arrival of vegetables in agricultural markets is low

The situation is that due to rain, the arrival of vegetables in agricultural markets has reduced. Due to this, vegetables have to be brought from other states, because due to heavy rains in many districts of Rajasthan, the vegetable crop has been completely destroyed. This is the reason why the arrival of vegetables from other states has started increasing in Asia’s largest Muhana Mandi of Jaipur. Due to this, the prices of vegetables have reached high levels.

Even the free coriander has become expensive

Ram Hari, a vegetable seller in Muhana Mandi, said that due to the continuous heavy rains in the state, the local vegetables of our area have been completely destroyed. Due to this, the prices of vegetables have increased. Now vegetables are coming to us from Uttar Pradesh. Due to this, the prices of many vegetables are skyrocketing. Among these, coriander is being sold to customers at the rate of Rs 300 per kg, garlic at Rs 400 per kg, lemon at Rs 120 per kg, onion at Rs 70 per kg, ginger at Rs 100 per kg and potato at Rs 40 per kg. Coriander, which we always used to give for free to customers buying vegetables, is nowhere to be seen in the shops today. If the rainy season continues like this, then the prices of more vegetables may increase in the coming days, which will further increase the kitchen expenses.
