Barmer : Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma is on a 6-day foreign tour to invite foreign investors in Rajasthan. Amidst CM Bhajanlal’s foreign tour, the daughter of a vegetable seller resident of Dhorimanna in Barmer is in the news. This daughter has brought glory not only to Barmer but also to the country. The name of the vegetable seller’s daughter is Penpo, who has acted as a bridge in the talks between CM Bhajanlal Sharma and the people of the Korean government in South Korea.
Penpo graduated in Korean language
Penpo translated Hindi into South Korean and explained the investment plans to the Korean government. She translated Korean into Hindi and explained every word to CM Bhajanlal and the officials who accompanied him. Penpo’s father Bhikharam says that Penpo has studied up to 12th in the government school of the village. She was good at studies and wanted to study further, due to which she got admission in Jharkhand University for further studies. There she got Korean as a compulsory third language.
Was selected in Ewah Women’s University
It was a big challenge for Penpo to grow up in a Hindi medium and rural Marwari environment, but with her hard work and dedication she completed her graduation in Korean language in one year. Penpo wanted to go to South Korea for further studies, but the financial condition of the family was not so good. She started working as a Korean language translator in a company in Chennai. During this time, when the financial condition improved a bit, she started trying for Global Korea Scholarship to study in South Korea. She did not get success in the first attempt, but in the second attempt she got selected in Ewha Women’s University of South Korea.
South Korea government provided education
During this time, 20 other students were selected along with her, in which Penpo got the fifth rank. Penpo, who went to study on Global Korea Scholarship, got selected in Ewha Women’s University. Here Penpo is doing PhD in Korean language and for this the South Korean government has given 14 thousand dollars every year along with Penpo’s studies as a scholarship. During this time, she was given the responsibility of a translator to translate Korean language into Hindi during the visit of Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma to participate in a committee to discuss trade relations between India and South Korea and to promote Korean investment in the country, which she did very well.
