Vice President Dhankhar will be the chief guest at the 10th convocation of IIT Jodhpur, will distribute degrees to the students.

Jodhpur : The 10th convocation ceremony of IIT Jodhpur, one of the prestigious Indian technological institutes of the country, will be held today (26 October). In which this year the Vice President of the country Jagdeep Dhankhar will attend as the chief guest. Along with this, local MP of Jodhpur and Union Tourism and Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and National President of India Foundation Ram Madhav will also attend the convocation ceremony of IIT as guests. Also, for the first time this year, IIT Jodhpur will award degrees and medals to a maximum of 1084 students in its convocation ceremony.

The ceremony will be organized in 2 phases

The 10th convocation ceremony of IIT will be held in 2 phases, in which degrees and medals will be awarded to the students in the morning in the first phase. After this, the second phase of the convocation ceremony will be held at 3:30 pm, in which the Vice President of the country Jagdeep Dhankhar will participate and distribute awards. Along with this, IIT Jodhpur Chairperson Kiran Kumar Singh will also participate. Along with this, IIT Director Professor Avinash K Aggarwal will also present the journey and vision of IIT so far.

Ranked among the top 5 IITs of the country

According to Professor Avinash K Aggarwal, Director of the Indian Institute of Technology, there are around 23 IITs in the entire country. And during his tenure of 5 years, he is also trying to include Jodhpur IIT in the top five IITs of the country. He is working very hard regarding this. And for a developed India, it is necessary for everyone to cooperate and IIT will also play the most important role in this.

9 thousand students 270 faculty

IIT Director Aggarwal says that our target is 2028 and we are working hard to include Jodhpur IIT in the top five IITs of the country. Along with this, we will have 9 thousand students, for this we are also working on expanding the faculty and currently there are around 270 faculty.

We are also continuously working on the requirements of new faculty. And probably by our vision 2028, there will be more than 500 faculty in Jodhpur IIT and if we talk about the campus of Jodhpur IIT, then there are more than 400 deer in this excellent campus which is also environmentally friendly.

M.Tech-370, Masters in Medical Technology-7, M.Sc.- M.Tech. Dual Degree-17, PG Diploma/Certificate-87, MBA-77, B.Tech-425, PhD-24, M.Sc. -76, M.Sc(Mient Specialisation)-6, B.Tech(Mient Specialisation)-35, A.M. Tech-Ph.D. Dual Degree-1.
