Bhopal, December 7 (IANS). Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan saw the Krishi Chaupal program during the review meeting of the District Development Coordination and Evaluation Committee in the Collectorate Auditorium of his parliamentary constituency Vidisha on Saturday and said that Vidisha will be made a model in the field of agriculture.
The Union Minister said in the meeting that Vidisha should become a role model in the field of agriculture and along with agriculture, other related activities like animal husbandry, diversification of agriculture, fruit cultivation, flower cultivation, vegetable cultivation, medicine cultivation, agriculture Forestry etc. – were discussed.
He said that first the district officials will consider it under the leadership of the Collector, public representatives will contribute from their side and all the people associated with agriculture will also be involved.
In the meeting, the Union Minister discussed about Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin, Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, Deen Dayal Antyodaya Yojana, National Rural Livelihood Mission, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, Soil Health Card, Ownership Scheme, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, Discussed with the officials regarding all the schemes and activities implemented in the district including Jal Jeevan Mission and Ayushman Bharat Scheme.
During this, he also gave necessary instructions to the officials regarding the implementation of the schemes.
The first episode of Krishi Chaupal program was telecast on DD Kisan channel on Saturday. Shivraj Singh Chauhan saw it from Vidisha. He said that Krishi Chaupal has started from today, in which farmers and scientists sat and discussed, farmers asked questions and scientists answered them. The objective of Krishi Chaupal is to connect the relationship between science and farmer, lab and land, land and laboratory. Krishi Chaupal program will be telecast on the first Saturday of every month.
Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that Vidisha district has made a lot of progress in the Lakhpati Didi campaign. The sisters are increasing their income to more than Rs 1 lakh per year by joining various employment oriented schemes. What other schemes can be added to them have been considered.
