The officer has clearly said that there is huge electricity theft in the area. Whenever he goes to take vigilance action, local leaders stop him from taking action.

MLA stopped from taking action

It is clearly visible in the video that the executive engineer is asking the employee to climb the pole. But, he is not climbing. In such a situation, when the MLA stopped the Executive Engineer, he got angry. He hit the contract employee with slippers. Later the contract employee fled from the spot. The video of this entire incident is going viral on social media.

“Prevented from action every time”

Shambhunath Prasad, Executive Engineer of Jaipur Discom, said, “Whenever the team of the department goes to take action in any village, a call comes from some leader or the other. They stop the action by calling. In this village only 6 feet above the ground. There is an 11 KV line, near which a 5 KVA transformer is installed for just one connection.”

The team found fake connections in the village

He said, “There are two more transformers installed in the village, one of which has only three connections at 10 KVA and the other has three connections at 5 KVA. The transformer which the electricity department team was removing was prone to accident at any time due to its proximity to the 11 KVA line. An accident has happened here before, on the other hand, 2 out of 3 transformers are fake in this village. Fake connections have been found, and three VCRs are also loaded.”

“MLAs are supporting electricity theft”

He told that Bhawanimandi and Sunel junior engineers and assistant engineers were also included in the team. The team’s action is not wrong. But, MLAs are supporting electricity theft. Whenever the team takes action. There comes pressure from the MLA. Shambhu Nath told that he got angry at the line man because he had already told that the transformer had to be removed, yet he kept refusing to do the work on the pretext of a broken ladder.

MLA said – had stopped the removal of DP

MLA Kaluram Meghwal said that this did not stop him from taking action against electricity theft. All the connections in the village are operational and no one has any outstanding electricity bill. The engineer has been asked not to remove the DP on the phone. They wanted to shift this connection to another transformer to move this DP to another place.
