Villagers demonstrated against the addition of Dausa Didwana to the city council.

Dausa : The Gram Sabha meeting held on Thursday in Didwana Gram Panchayat of Lalsot was marred by huge uproar. During the discussion on the proposal to include Didwana Gram Panchayat in Lalsot Municipal Council, villagers and ward panches protested strongly. The proposal to include Didwana Gram Panchayat in the Municipal Council has been sent to the District Collector, but the villagers and Panchayat members strongly opposed it, saying that it is against the existence of Didwana village. The villagers and five ward panches present in the meeting said that this proposal is against the interests of the village.

The angry judges even offered to resign. The villagers alleged that by adding Didwana to Lalsot Municipal Council, the identity of the village will be lost and the people of the village will not be able to get the benefits of public welfare schemes implemented for rural areas. He said that this step is being taken to serve the interests of the land mafia, who are trying to capture the village land. Villagers and Ward Panches said that if this proposal is not withdrawn then they will launch a big agitation. After the meeting, the villagers also announced to submit a memorandum to the Collector and Subdivision Officer.
