After the announcement in Nimaz, Moharai etc. on Thursday evening, on Friday morning the area residents gathered under the leadership of Moharai Sarpanch Devisingh Rajpurohit near the Bandri river of Moharai and demonstrated by setting up tents. Villagers of Mohrai, Nimaj, Asarlai demanded stopping of gravel lease in Mohrai. Villagers said that gravel mining will cause loss to farmers along with drinking water.

The residents of the area depend on the river for drinking water and agriculture. Only if there is gravel in the river is the water level of the river. Otherwise thousands of people of Nimaaj, Asarlai, Mohrai will become unemployed. The villagers warned not to allow gravel to be taken under any circumstances. Also warned of violent agitation.
