Villagers get angry over gravel mining from Pali river, protest

Pal : Anger has started increasing among the residents of the area regarding the continuous gravel mining in the rivers of Pali Nimaaj area. Now the villagers have come out on protest. After the announcement in Nimaz, Moharai etc. on Thursday evening, on Friday morning the area residents gathered under the leadership of Moharai Sarpanch Devisingh Rajpurohit near the Bandri river of Moharai and demonstrated by setting up tents. Villagers of Mohrai, Nimaj, Asarlai demanded stopping of gravel lease in Mohrai. Villagers said that gravel mining will cause loss to farmers along with drinking water.

villagers Told that our agricultural irrigation wells are on the banks of the river. Government water wells are also located in the river. The residents of the area depend on the river for drinking water and agriculture. Only if there is gravel in the river is the water level of the river. Otherwise thousands of people of Nimaaj, Asarlai, Mohrai will become unemployed. The villagers warned not to allow gravel to be taken under any circumstances. Also warned of violent agitation. Mohrai Sarpanch Devisingh Rajpurohit, Deputy Sarpanch Dayalram Gurjar, Babusingh Rajpurohit, Girdhari Gurjar, Pukhrajsingh Rajpurohit, Nemaram Kumawat, Shaitanram Nayak, Omprakash, Umedsingh, Pappuram, Ratan Singh, Gendu Kha, Dhagalaram etc. also expressed their views.

Villagers manually stopped the work

The villagers gathered on the river bank protested against the construction of a ford in the river. Later, the angry villagers also stopped the work of cutting the river under construction. Gave warning not to start the work after stopping it.
