Barmer News Desk: Angry villagers protested against the Dalits of Nainwa village near Shivkar being deprived of drinking water scheme. The delegation has submitted a memorandum to the Collector to the ADM demanding justice in the matter of not connecting the water pipeline to GLR under the Jal Jeevan Mission Scheme. It was told in the memorandum that 5 lines including Nainwa village were to be connected to the water tank built under Jal Jeevan Mission. In this, Nainwa village has been deprived due to the intervention of Galaberi Sarpanch. Supply has been started from the remaining four lines to other villages.
People belonging to the Scheduled Caste category said that the work of installing valves by connecting the supply line of Nainwa village was being done on behalf of the Sarpanch by the water supply personnel, then the Galaberi Sarpanch and his supporters stopped the work on the spot. During this time about 200 people from scheduled caste were present.
Scheduled class people were mistreated by the Sarpanch. The villagers demanded the Collector to take action against the Sarpanch and ensure smooth supply by connecting the water supply line. During this, people including former head Udaram Meghwal, Shivkar Sarpanch Arjunram, District President Meghwal Samaj Sangh Karnaram, former Sarpanch Gorkharam, Dharmaram Brijwal, Labhuram, Chandaram were present.
